I like the cover. Eye-catching, pleasant mix of colors. We might need to do a vote on it. Book description pretty good, too. Perhaps list the authors in alphabetical order?

Jennifer - once I submit the word doc to the meat grinder, I'll get back to you if I have problems with the images. :-)

Think the cover is much improved. Certainly eye-catching! Isn't Serban's friend doing this for nothing? If he is, then I can understand his reaction...

Smashwords Forum Writers -- Update 11/2/2015 Let's look at the Smashwords Writers Anthology Cover using this technique from Coker's how to guide: Here’s a quick test, and a challenge: If you were to strip away the title and author name, does the image tell the reader, “this is the book you’re looking for to experience [the feeling of first love for romance; fear for horror; edge of your seat suspense for thrillers; knowledge for a non-fiction how-to; an inspiring personal journey for a memoir, etc].” The cover of the anthology is an important component of it's success. To see the cover, try this link, I put the cover image on my blog riastoneblog.blogspot.mx/p/smashwords-forum-anthology-2015.htmlWhen I look at the cover, I see a psychedelic design, very colorful, it conveys more of a mood than a hint at the contents. If anyone else has a draft of a design idea, let's see it. If writers would prefer, email me your suggestions.

Just the author names in Alphabetical Order so No Feelings Get Hurt (the piece titles appear on the contents page). And V3 of the pdf looks good on the ipad, too.

SWF Anthology Update 11/2/2015 No. 2 Note, I just made a sample cover for the anthology. See - riastoneblog.blogspot.mx/p/smashwords-forum-anthology-2015.htmlI am no artist and that type of cover is about all I can make. The sample cover is just to stimulate ideas for the cover. We need to nail down the cover soon.
Anticipated publish date: 11/15/2015

Your chosen image is really awesome, Ria. But is it free-source?

Your chosen image is really awesome, Ria. But is it free-source? An important consideration. Even with rights-free sources, I like to credit if I can....

Your chosen image is really awesome, Ria. But is it free-source? Hi Serban: You are right, the image is great. Yes, I use fine art images from the commons on Wikipedia. But, you need to check the copyright page to see if it's public domain etc.

Looked at the draft you sent, all looks fine to me! Happy with the last draft of the blurb too.
Cover wise, I agree that cover 1 is a nice image but doesn't say a lot. The second cover is probably a bit more appropriate, with correct attribution etc. A shame it's landscape, but not a deal breaker. Can the text be made a little bigger maybe? (also not to nit pick but worth pointing out before publication, there's an 's' missing from 'smashwords' on cover 2).

Thanks for looking at the draft, the blurb and the covers. So far, we don't have a consensus on either cover. Personally, cover 2 was just an idea, hoping others might contribute their ideas. I can make the changes you noted for cover 2 but I need a better feel for how the others feel about cover 1 or other cover designs. Another idea is - see if anyone has an image they'd like to see on the cover - an image that is part of the public domain would be best.
