SFW Anthology Update 10/27/15
Heads Up
While using Google Docs was nice when it came to sharing files with others and it was nice to see the edits, I have not yet figured out how to move the edited files with their comments to my pc. I was able to download all the files but they did not keep the comments. So, it has become so cumbersome trying to go back and forth between edited versions and unedited versions, I know I will miss a lot of the edits.
So, when I present the draft version for review, I will need to find another way to get eyeballs on the pieces and find another method to add any editing notes and comments without using the comments function.
Thanks for your patience and suggestions!

SWF Writers Anthology Update 10/28/2015 Note to Julie, you were so right. It was funny, the first document I tried presented lots of problems, so I assumed I'd have a problem with them all. Then, I found the download as Word doc and things went much smoother! Note to all anthology authors: In general, very few changes were made to your submissions. There were a very few obvious misspelled words (not word styling). Had to remove some double spaces and replace with one space in some places. But, one revision for all the pieces is the change to a standard format structure which affected some of the format styling in some pieces (with the exception of Ian's piece, at this time, still experimenting). Also, I need author information such as: blog and/or website URLS, emails etc. and a brief bio. I am still playing with the formatting, trying to develop a nice style and appearance. Also, considering including one small cover image at the end of each piece under author information, does not have to be cover of anthology work, maybe cover of previous work or upcoming work. We might be able to do this, I will experiment with existing anthology to see how it looks and works in an ePub. While I know meat grinder does not like images, I think small ones may work if there aren't many. 11 seems ok. But, be prepared that it may not work. Once I've got the formatting down pat and everyone's author info and bios, I will create an ePub for your review. I can't add an image here, but I will add them to the gmail docs. One is a list of the order of the submissions and the other is an image of the basic page formatting. Please give me your feedback.

Hi CP, looking good!
I'll email you my bio and a little cover pic.
Are you still accepting submissions, by the way?
Bret

Hi Bret, thanks for your kind words.
We have 11 submissions and, at this point in time, that seems to enough. But, thank you for the offer.

SWF Anthology Update 10/30/2015 OK, I am getting ready to post a PDF draft of the anthology for comments and revisions in google docs. I realize that some of the page breaks are awkward. I am still working on the Preface and the Back Matter. There are a few authors that lack a bio and/or cover of a previous work. Please submit if you'd like. Also, I have a question. Why, when I resize a jpeg of a cover image using the same dimensions, do I get a different size for different covers? More later, Let's shoot for a release date of 11/15/2015! Thanks everyone for all your help.

Resizing depends on the original resolution and dimensions of each cover, Ria, and what program you used to resize. I sent you an email about it. I will look at the pdf on my ipad later today.

Ok, here it be. My friend said that if I ask for any more changes, he'll kick my ass. In the future, if anyone wants to get in touch with him to negotiate for a cover, I'll gladly forward his email address.

Serban:
Wow, that is a very colorful cover. It is beautiful.
Just a note, in general, when a publication is working on a cover, it often goes through many design ideas and changes.
Let's see how the others feel about this cover. If there is a desire for a different cover, we may have to rely on one of us to create other cover ideas.
We want a cover we all like and that we think reflects the personality of the anthology.
This is not to say that your friend's cover is not a great work of art. It is gorgeous.
I do appreciate your help with getting a great cover idea.
Let's see how things go.
Meanwhile, I am still working on the formatting etc.
More later!!!!

Hi Jennifer:
Hope you are doing well.
As I continue formatting the anthology, I can't find a website, blog or smashwords profile for you.
Do you have any of these?
Also, do you have any cover art from previous works?
If you do, can you send them to me?
Plus, if you do have a website, blog, smash words profile or Twitter, Pininterest, Facebook account, you might want to add them to your Smashwords forum profile.
Just an idea :-)
