OK, SWF members:
I just created an account on SW - Smashwords Forum.
Consider submitting 1 chapter from one of your works or a short story for inclusion into a SWF anthology.
The anthology theme may change over time, right now, it's a mixed bag approach, so we can see the scope and diversity of our authors.
Nothing is set in stone yet.
Will need help reviewing submissions and help with creating a great cover.
Take a few minutes and submit a chapter from an existing work or an upcoming work or a short story.
We can consider poetry, plus we may include a recipe or two since some of us write cookbooks.
Right now, our only limit is SW's 10mb file limit.
Plus, use your social media to let others know what SWF is up to.

I'm happy to be in on that, CP. Not sure about chapters, though. Readers would be happier with endings and conclusions. Best to stick to shorts. My new one, Devil In the Detail, just out and free on smash etc could go in if you want it. The link is on my new thread if you want to take a look. Maybe make a small charge for a charity?

Canarypress, I thought it would help if I sent you the word doc for Talking Crows. So I did. Check your email. Regarding the cover. I need to tell my gfx artist what it is we're actually looking. After all willing participants have sent their stuff, we should tally what genres we have on our plate and do some brain storming to come up with a theme for the cover.

CP. One of the reasons I suggested a small charge with $$ to charity is because Amazon won't let us choose to go "free" directly. Not much point in missing Amazon out. Sure they could price match a freebie elsewhere, if they want. Best stick 99 C on the thing.

Hi Gary: You are prolific as always. Once I get to the point of looking at submissions, I'll take a look at your story. Thanks for participating.

Thank you Serban for the offer of creating a cover for the anthology. You are right, we need to look at the genres of the submission to guide the idea for the cover art. Thanks for participating. I will take a look at your story, soon.

First, we need to select a charity. Then, if I get any checks from SW or Amazon, I will send it to the charity. I would be happy to provide the sales report from either publisher if that happens. The only snag is that the check will go to my US address and my ability to forward the monies to the charity will take some time.

CP. I don't want to rain on your parade, but I've been a part of these things before. Sales are usually confined to participants and a curious few. Anthologies were popular when I was a lad. That was nearly fifty years ago. Horror / sci fi have the best chance. One of the better ones I was in is the one with the link. I'll muck in but not be expecting much out of it other than experience. Sorry. www.goodreads.com/book/show/18913511-wyrd-worldsThis one did better than most, and yep, I'm in it.

Gary, I do understand. For myself, I usually bought mystery, and sci-fi anthologies, not much of anything else. But, I do feel that anthologies offer us, as writers, an opportunity to reach out to various audiences. If the anthology is mostly short stories, I think it could have some appeal in this world of short attention spans.

Gary, bear with me. While I am somewhat proficient with technology, sometimes I get lost. Can you post a link to your story "Devil in the Detail"?

Good Morning SWF Writers:
Update on SWF Anthology
We have two excellent submissions. Two short stories of varying lengths.
We need a title for the Anthology.
Do we need a deadline? My thought was to publish by October/November 2015.
Anyone else got a short story or chapter they want to add to the anthology?
Don't forget to advertise the SWF anthology on your social media!
