I am in process of uploading my 1st e-book. Will someone please share the guidelines for word count recommendations for "about the author" and "for the reader" When is too much too much?
Many thanks, Joe Arlington, MA

I wouldn't bother with the number of words, but with the quality. (Also, it is possibly better to have someone else ghost-write that part, since we are our own worst critics.)
Just give it two or three quality paragraphs. If people want more, they'll find your website.
At least, that is what I plan to do.

Hey David Many thanks for your helpful advice. For me, Smashwords presents a very steep learning curve. With your help, I am glad to be still "in the climb". My book is titled "Maxie Freud". It is about a group of mice that live in the walls of a group practice of therapists and psychiatrists. It is a lot of fun! It is aimed at adult readers.
All the best, Joe BTW, thank you for your welcome.

When it is finished and on Smashwords, let us know. I know several shrinks and they might like it.

...What is required to upload the corrected text?""For the reader", Author, tags etc? Click on the Settings link next to your work on your Dashboard. Also, take a moment and read the FAQ's on your Dashboard.
