agent or publisher account -smashwords

Can anyone advise on me on this - should I use an agent or publisher account when putting a book up on smash words for a friend???

I uploaded a book for a friend to Smashwords, using an author account in my user name. The book was listed as lorik as the author! I managed to fix that by uploading a new copy after I added authors name to form. But - both versions were still there - a search gave two copies. So i "unpublished".

Now I learn that i should open an agent or publisher account.
Help!! please

The legalities of whether you should open an agent or publisher account for your friend is something you need to discuss with a lawyer. I wouldn't go by any suggestion by a member here unless he/she is a lawyer.
