I suppose the good news is that they are still in business. The not so good news is how long it took them to tell you that...

Are those Booktrack prices competitive?

Dunno, Ted. sounds reasonable to me. I'd be tempted if i had that much spare change. Probably add a couple of zeros if it were Stephen Fry narrating. Looks like D2D have a new library deal going with hoopla. Something else to contemplate.

looks like i have my "god" status back. I confused the system mixing up usernames / passwords. So now I have my new loptap sorted. Started my uni course with all the intro stuff out of the way. Looking forward to developing as an artist. A woman on my course has written an illustrated childrens book and I will help her as much as possible to take the next steps as an Indie. She will probably introduce herself on here in due course. Today is all about taming this new loptap with all the uni stuff, ready to stumble my way through the next three years.

I kind of envy you this next three years, Gary. I would love to learn to do things properly, rather than stumbling about as I do. I find stuff I like, and mimic it. It's the best I can do, not having benefited from any professional tutoring.

That's the reason I'm going, simply to learn and improve. If I get a degree, that will be nice, too. We have strange funding here in the U K for degrees. A government department authorises it and the uni receives it per each year. After 50 YO it isn't paid back by the student. under 50 must earn 28 k pa + before making repayments. As I was late into what is called the clearing, and as of this moment, still awaiting the final ok for funding. Having been enrolled, I become liable for 25% of year 1 funding (a lot I don't have) but I have until 6th oct to pull out unscathed if funding denied. I'm repeatedly told it will be ok, but a niggle of doubt remains. Heck! I spent 15 £ on a new bag for my stuff, so it had damn well better be. Either way, on the 11th Oct I'll be at an Alice Cooper gig, supported by The Stranglers.

You're a lucky man. A lucky new bag and an Alice Cooper gig.
