I am a bit of a klutz using the internet.
Was in Smashwords and clicked a button and up comes Smashwords Invitation to enter books into their Summer promo. So, I did.
But, I could not find an official press release, so here is the text from the page.

We're kicking off our seventh annual Summer/Winter promotion, and as a Smashwords author or publisher, you're invited to participate! Scroll down the page to enroll today!
Here in the Northern hemisphere, it's mid-summer. Readers everywhere are loading up their e-reading devices for summer beach reading and vacations. But what about our good friends South of the equator, who are now in the middle of winter? They deserve to curl up in front of the fireplace and enjoy a good read too! That's the story behind our Summer/Winter promotion, and as a Smashwords author or publisher, you're invited to participate!
To enroll your books in the promotion, please select from one of four promotion levels below: 25% off; 50% off; 75% off, or FREE. Once you enroll, customers will obtain your books using one of the special coupon codes, which they'll enter at checkout to receive the discount.
Benefits of Participation
Smashwords authors enrolled in the promotion will receive placement in a special Smashwords home page catalog of Summer/Winter Sale participants for the entire month of July.
How to Participate (Scroll down the page to enroll your books):
Log in to your account. If you do not have an account, click here to join now for free. You must publish with Smashwords to be enrolled in the Smashwords promotion.
If you're logged into your account, below you'll see a list of your published books. Simply select the book(s) you want to enroll, and at what level you want to enroll. Click "Submit" and you're done.
If your book is already free, or you previously selected the "name your own price" pricing option, you're already enrolled and you do nothing.
Offer your books at 25% off, 50% off, 75% off, or for FREE.
Your discounted price, after the coupon is applied, must be $.99 or higher, otherwise your book will default to free.
The catalog goes live at one minute past midnight on July 1 Pacific time, and expires 11:59pm on July 31.
You can opt out of the promotion at any time, or change your settings at any time.
These coupon codes are exclusive to Smashwords.com and will not work anywhere else.
By participating in this promotion, it does not change your retail price at Smashwords or at Smashwords retailers.
You will receive an email confirming your participation.
