I've tried twice today to upload my file to Smashwords. I read Mark's style guide before I started, during, and after to make sure I was following the guidelines. I uploaded as a .doc, although I created this from LibreOffice, after buying (from Smashwords) and reading Anthony Campbell's Making Word .Doc Files in Linux (he's published successfully with SW so I figure I can too.) My book successfully converted to the pdf format, but all others were aborted. Apparently they didn't even make it to autovetter because there are no vetting messages and I don't have a clue as to what the problem is. Suggestions?
(As an aside, I uploaded the file (with slight modifications) to Draft2Digital and it had no problems converting the file. I just don't care for their lack of formatting options and hoped I could publish through SW.)

I'm not familiar with Linux version of LO, but I've used the Windows version of LO for uploading files and have had no problems which weren't my own fault. As long as you've checked the boxes for the other formats your work 'should' convert.
Have you tried uploading to SW the slightly modified version?
Does your PDF version content match your original doc content? No extra spaces or weird characters etc? Format same in both?

Ted, thanks for your response. I went to my dashboard to see about downloading the pdf and decided to try again. This time success, with one autovetter error, a minor formatting issue with the copyright page. I've also started going over the epub version and am finding some inconsistencies I didn't expect. So I may have more questions! I appreciate the forum.
