Asked to create this thread now Proboards has changed their Terms of Service (TOS) to include selling our details to third parties.
OK. Just read TOS. What is important is they are advising us that they are now selling our details to third parties.

If you want to opt out of your details being sold, click the TOS link (https://www.proboards.com/privacy) then click item 6. Read and click the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link and just click the new page button. :-)
If you don't opt out, you could get personalised advertisements via web cookies, your data sold to third parties, etc. It is easy to opt out. Just click the button on the link page. :-)
Also note, if your have "Do Not Track" set on your web browser, Proboards is ignoring and tracking everything, keystrokes, site visited, etc. I assume it is via cookies.
Side Note:
As Proboards is selling our Proboards public data (these comments, etc) to "Effyis, Inc. dba: BoardReader.com, a search engine that specializes in the indexing of public forum content." I was thinking this could be a way to market our latest published books. I guess I would have to talk about my books using keywords in a dedicated subject topic and leave BoardReader.com to run their search engine to pick up the keywords on my book. I will think about it, because I am not sure if I would have to put in a link to my Smashwords author page next to the links. :-)

ProBoards allows BoardReader.com to index the public forums on the Website in exchange for a fee. The categories of information that may be indexed by BoardReader.com are:
