After uploading my story I checked it in the various forms for different ebook readers. I saw it needed a lot of formatting help and went about doing that. All in all I uploaded 4 or 5 versions before it looked right. Meanwhile my book was awaiting its Premium review and I waited, and waited. Finally I received the results of the review and am now going about correcting my book.
But I see that the Premium review is again cranking away. Are all those uploads going to be reviewed? I Thought the early uploads were dead and only the most recent was being reviewed. Do I dare to upload my latest hopefully corrected version?
How can I get rid of my early bad uploads? I can't even find them now.
I am ready to unpublish the whole thing but don't know what havoc I might wreak.
It is just very hard to understand what Smashwords is doing. Ham

Ham, I don't understand what you mean by "...that the Premium review is again cranking away."
The only work being reviewed is your latest work for a book. Any previous uploads of a work, like your earlier 3 or 4 attempts, won't be reviewed or vetted.
You can't get rid of your earlier bad uploads. They are there as a record of your uploads. Please remember that only your latest version is the one the public sees, while you - as author - see the rest.
You say you want to get rid of your earlier works, then you say you can't find them. This makes no sense.

Ham, I'd guess that most if not all Smashwords authors have been where you are.
I thought I had a handle on how it worked until Ted set me straight about the difference between uploading a new version, receiving a congratulations email and notification that there were no auto-vetter errors, and the requirement to submit the book for review to gain acceptance in the Premium catalog.
On 7/7, I changed the covers on three books, which put them back into pending review status. Two of the books had been previously accepted into Premium, and both were "fast tracked" back into it. But the one book not previously in Premium is still pending review on 7/18. In my experience, it just take time, which means that if there's a problem with being accepted into Premium and you have to fix and resubmit the file, the pending-review clock is reset. I've had to take a big dose of patience in dealing with the process.
