I like "Smashreads." Very catchy.
Maybe if the threads were titled more specifically, we could avoid some of the spam -- like:
"Reader to reader recommendations." Under which you could put the various genre.
"Reader to Author questions."
"Author to Reader questions." Such as, "What do you hate to read in a book?"
You could even open an area and call it "spam."
Just bouncing ideas off the group.

SmashReads is a great name. Let's go with that. I'll start planning out the forum today and hopefully have something up today or tomorrow.

I'm glad you guys like the name. Thanks for using it. I really like marti's idea of splitting the threads into genres.

Ted, I greatly applaud your efforts.
I am thinking readers searching for books would rather easily find those in their preferred genre than by length. I personally wouldn't like wading through hundreds of books lumped together when I want to read a romance or a mystery.
Just my thoughts. I realize that might be a bit much to ask of you. To make it easier, you can use the basic genres and then make a thread for "other."

A viewer can Search a forum or the whole Smashwords Forum site for a particular genre, ie. sci-fi, western, romance, vampire, erotic, or mystery, as long as the author who wrote the thread included the genre in their post.

I've created the SmashReads forum sections and I've posted on Twitter and Facebook about SmashReads. Now it's up to you to help spread the word on your social networks, web sites, newsletters, in your next ebook, and begin creating more dialogue with our readers.
