Still curious to the medium you are using.

Still curious to the medium you are using. Sorry, Gary, must have missed the question. I use stretched canvas, and canvas boards of mostly 11"x14" size (approx 279x356 mm). I use smaller sizes to do experiments on. I mostly paint in the Bob Ross style (wet on wet). But I also use acrylic to deepen background color with an oil top coat for vibrancy. I'm wanting to experiment with liquin, but haven't picked any up yet.

liquin is ok i use the thicker type, 50 / 50 mix with oils. speeds up drying and helps with flow. I usually use (hrmm) a water base personal lubrication mixed with the acrylics. I get odd looks when I buy ten tubes at a time at the local pound shop. Again, 50, 50. A notorious forger now turned straight uses this method. The paint dries off really fast. I will overpaint finer details in oils. I will check out the bob ross style.

I will check out the bob ross style. Here's the couple of Bob Ross episodes that inspired this one that I'm going to title The Lair.... A warning Gary . . . these might inspire you to jump on some landscapes!

A milestone day today. Had a couple of sleepless nights realising I was close to having my old age financially trashed. Instead the day ended on a great high knowing I'll be starting a B A fine arts degree on Monday. I tell you there's a short story lurking about this adventure to this moment in time. So my next three years are pretty much mapped. I see a lot of destiny behind this day. I had taken one of my paintings to the meeting, then once given the thumbs up to the next phase of my life, I left in desperate need of a drink. A couple of beers and a song and dance at the afternoon gary oakey and I was well happy with life. Not that I wanted to, but I could have sold the painting five times over. A new career in my seventies? Yeah! Age is just a number. My take on all this? Get stuck in with life. Each knock back makes us stronger. NEVER look back saying "I wish I had..."

I bookmarked that artist on youtube for later watching. He is so good! I think I should practice those brush marks to paint tree leaves in a digital art program. :-) Or give up painting entirely because I will never be that good.

Watching him inspired me to start painting a couple of years ago. I never painted in my life before 2017.

Wow, congratulations!!!

I highly recommend taking advantage of www.barnettghostwriting.com/ ghostwriting and publishing services. They assisted me in relaunching my book, which has since become a best-seller. Their expertise and support have been invaluable to my success as an author.
