No stats for authors like myself who spend about 3% of their time writing. Thankfully I have about 40 ebooks which skewer the income somewhat.

As of this date Smashwords shows 510,395 ebooks published. This leaves a huge amount of Smashwords authors not making their works available in print. Such as myself.

Not really, add a link on SW to Gumroad Really interesting stats, Ria. Do you think Bowkers is picking up the Gumroad connection? I do not know alot about Bowkers. I bought some ISBNs but have not investigated their other activities. But, they also offer vanity publishing options, so hmmmmm, not sure what to think.
The whole marketplace for TV, Video, ePublications has been so altered, I think the industry itself is doing a shakeout.

Yippee!! My author income just doubled for the week with the Craggy box set having an outing. Just put a painting of mine in a local exhibition and the pro artist Jay running the thing really likes it. I didn't even realise it a selling exhibition and the picture has a place on my bedroom wall. Jay says don't sell an original for less then 750 quid, so I said, if somebody is daft enough to pay 750 for it, I'll just paint myself a new one. Will I make any $$$$? I'll let you know.

750 quid? How much is that in American dollars?

about 800$ I think. My loptap doesn't have a pound sign, only the $ sign so have to write quid or pounds. I'm not actually expecting to sell the painting but anything could happen. I have sold a few paintings, but for nothing like 800$ Sold one for 50 quid which I gave to a local animal charity.

You've shared some of your artwork with us before and in my westcoast Vancouver sense of reality the $800 isn't unreasonable.

Putting a photo on here never seems to be straightforward for me otherwise I'd have put a few more on here. Probably just me being old. Do I add attachment? Insert image?. http's URL's ...life's too short, Thanks anyway for kind comments, Ted. As for value of artwork, especially an untrained amateur like me, no idea. I keep telling myself, I'm ten more paintings away from being good. Each time I finish one, I still say...ten more paintings...! It's a confidence thing.

You can insert an image by clicking on the Insert Image icon and providing the url to the image. For members with their own web site it is easy to upload an image to your web site then use that image's URL.

Not really, add a link on SW to Gumroad I followed your Smashwords link for "Gina's Dream" to thewriteplace.biz but it is a broken link. You might want to update the print book link on your Smashwords page to Gumroad or where ever. I use the print link to my Createspace/Amazon Print books, but when Createspace closed and Amazon took over my print sales stopped. Then 2 months ago I sold 2 print copies, and last month another 2 print copies. Who knows, they might pick up again in the coming months. :-) I want to use PublishDrive when print gets out of beta testing to get my print books back in Ingram. Can't wait. :-)

having had a look at youtube, my how to site of choice, looks like if i don't have a website (and don't intend having one) I can use a thing called tinypic put an image there, then use that U R L to...sorry. dozed off for a moment. Easier just to paint a new picture
