In the Style Guide, Smashwords says that one can insert 'Visit my Smashwords author page at [insert your author page address]” or “Favorite my Smashwords author page at [insert your author page address]”' I don't have a clue what my author page address is; I can't find any indication of one on the site. If it is given to me after I publish, how would I be able to put it in the book beforehand? So it must be there somewhere. Where?

Author pages can be something like a web site an author created containing an 'About' listing, an 'About' page on an author's blog site, or even the Smashwords Profile page you created when you joined Smashwords.
Simply find the 'author page' - or whatever you called it - and copy the URL for that page and insert that link for people to visit your 'Author' page.
To see your Profile page log into Smashwords, click on Account then click on View Profile to see your profile or 'author page' or Edit Profile to edit it.

I find the author info harder to create than the book. I never know what to include or what tone should be set. I don't want to boast, but I don't want to be boring or under-sell, either. If you can get someone else to write it, you may do well.
