I am 14 year old writer and my book Twin Reflections is free on smashwords. www.smashwords.com/books/view/596720Book Description: The maze of mirrors has beenaccumulating energy for ages. When Vera and Mark unwittingly find themselves trapped in the maze, its passages prove to be the least of their problems. Its magic can be a great tool or weapon, as Queen Missena is learning, and they are at its mercy. As they travel through, the illusions created by the maze takes them to places unexpected and dangers unforeseen. But Vera has magic of her own. Will her magic help her and Mark escape the maze? Or will they be trapped inside forever? Review from Midwest Book Review: "A wonderfully entertaining read from beginning to end, "Twin Reflections" by Elizabeth R. Joseph is particularly impressive when considering that it is debut effort of a fourteen year old writer" - Midwest Book Review

Right now is a busy time for a lot of authors, Elizabeth, so there may not be many members visiting the forum until after the new year. However, while I don't read your genre you may find a member or two who enjoy YA/Fantasy and will download it. If you don't receive an offer or two before the end of the year then you could simply 'bump' your post.
To 'bump' a post which may have gotten lost or forgotten you can Reply to your own post and simply type in the word 'Bump' -without the '. Doing this will 'bump' the post and bring it up in the New Threads / New Posts listing and show your 'bump' as a new post.

Thank you Ted for your suggestion and will follow your advice.
I am looking for people to download my book and hopefully and get a couple of reviews. I realize I could do KDP select on Amazon and get free days that can be promoted for 100s of downloads but then I will have to unpublish on smashwords. Hopefully, I can keep it smashwords free and get some downloads/reviews.

I have 2 or 3 free ebooks on Amazon (not on KDP Select). In the past 90 days there has been only 4,200 downloads of my free ebooks and of those only 3 reviews.
Your new ebook was published less than one month ago, so it takes time for your work to get to retailers, get noticed, be downloaded and then possibly reviewed. 99% of my reviews are on Barnes & Noble, Kobo and Apple.
Rule of thumb: for every 1,000 downloads you may possibly get one review.
I personally don't read reviews anymore because so many reviews have been paid for, are phoney, or exchanged reviews between authors. Whether an ebook hase thousands of five star or one star reviews don't mean anything to me. Like many readers, I read the sample work and decide then if I like the book or not.
Word of mouth is the best marketing tool, but like everything else in self-publishing it takes time to get the word out. Best advertising and marketing you can do is to start writing another ebook and let the reviews happen as they may.
And don't worry about what the reviews say or how low a book is rated. One of my ebooks has mostly 1 and 2 stars and terrible reviews, but a couple of hundred are bought every month consistently over the years.

ì downloaded your book, will take a look at it. My review may be short due to time constraints. Ted's advice is great!!! Keep writing Hola Elizabeth: I am putting my brief review here because it's too complicated for me to do a review on Smashwords. Don't ask but I have too many passwords etc. I may try again, later. Twin Reflections Elizabeth Joseph 2016 Cover I found the cover intriguing. Brief Review One outstanding feature of this story is the excellent writing. The sentences are well crafted, no word seems unnecessary. The story felt like a complex Hansel and Gretel tale. As Vera and Mark, her brother, seek to find their friend, Karrie, who mysteriously disappeared. Mirrors and reflections feature heavily in the story as devices and metaphors. I appreciated the description of the First Queen of the Greater Ages and her history and the allusions to ancient history and its impact on modern life. The story hints at the author's intelligent perception of science and also the unknown. “While other theories may suggest that the maze grows at an exponential rate to house, for lack of a better word, the energy it creates, I find that, based on the plethora of evidence, the maze clearly manifests energy in many other ways than simply expanding, seemingly to keep itself in control. To expel energy, it forces its own energy out in new ways, while simultaneously merging with those who are fit to control it, and luring in others. This sacrifice is needed to keep the maze working as a source of power…” Excerpt From: Elizabeth Joseph. “Twin Reflections.” iBooks. I could see that this was an adventure story. I could see that the magic represented both personal and external powers and that the magic represented various “realities." But, I felt that this was at the heart of the story: “Who are you without them? Without all of them to protect? Leina, Mark, Dea, Karrie—anyone you care about. It’s your fault when they get hurt. You are nothing without them.” Vera swallowed hard. “I am nothing without them. They’re my strength. What could you have?” And then she realized the truth of the mirror. “You’re nothing without someone to reflect.” “We are alike. This is where you can realize who you are without any of them. Who you really are in your mind. Your heart. You could have all you want validated. You could become something powerful.” Excerpt From: Elizabeth Joseph. “Twin Reflections.” iBooks. A well-written teen adventure.
