Ok, because I get tired of researching after awhile.
Here are my random thoughts about how a blog tour might work.
Basically, you post a list of blogs with a schedule of when and where you will be posting interviews, PR, etc. for a your new release.
I am assuming that there is a relationship between the author and the list of blogs either by content or an affiliation. I also assume that the publication of the posts, interviews etc. are approved by each blog owner.
I also assume that the blog tour is a way to expose the author to a wider audience.
So, that means I have to find blogs that might be interested in my work and establish a relationship in order to hold a blog tour.
I'd love to hear from authors who have held a blog tour.

I hadn't heard of the 'blog tour' concept of marketing before now, so I did a quick search on the Internet and found many sites charging fees for arranging a 'blog tour' for ebook authors.
Creating a relationship with other blogs seems a better and probably more rewarding financially - although slower and more hard work required by an author - than paying for a blog tour, but I could be wrong. I too would love to hear from authors who have held a blog tour.

I've heard of them. I've seen some guest blogs, too, from sites I read. I would do it. I just need to fix my website. One I have it going, I'll try it get guests and guest blog elsewhere.
