Dorothy Mayling thought her worst problem was the long-standing family feud over her sister's choice of husband. Or her son's grades. Then the rumors started - bird flu in Seattle, SARS in Washington State? The truth is a hideous, terrible disease, one that slowly steals away the ability to speak and reason, turning people into nothing more than zombies. Worst of all, it was meant to be a weapon. Can Dorothy hold her family together as the world ends around them and people fall, one by one, to the silent plague? Now available.

Book Two: Crone! Bruton is a community struggling to survive - and to retain some of the values of the old world. Led by tough former lawyer Helen Locke, it's a small town where people struggle to remain civilized, to keep their technology and to survive. Until Tom Milkins shows up - and Locke knows he's trouble right away. When a young scout is brutally murdered, it's clear that Bruton - and Locke - might have more than they bargained for. Can they keep the light of civilization in a world full of wild children and dangerous, patriarchal men? Now available. (Has been for a while, I just bizarrely spaced on updating this).

Book Three: Maiden! In what used to be the suburbs of Chicago, a community lives and breathes despite the Silents in the wilds beyond. It's a bit of a straightjacket for fifteen year old Becky, facing marriage to one of the available men and bearing children who may or may not be sane. Until the unthinkable happens - the zombie-like Silents begin to recover their reason. The stage is set for a conflict between survivors and recovered, and between old ways and new. Available here. Or buy all three novellas together at a discount here.

Jennifer, well done!
I'm in the summer doldrums with my writing. A little peck here, there, now and then. I'm too easily distracted in the summer months by cats, dogs, clouds, children playing, to do what an author should do to polish their craft. Congratulations on your latest work and your ability to stay focused.

The problem is getting people to read it. Everyone who does thinks it's great...
