Hello, I tried a lot to gather all titles of smashwords written in my language, but I just found a dozen. Could it exist some way to discover them all? I even tried a google search with smashwords and my language, as per "smashwords + french" for instance. Same work required (hundreds of pages and surfing days) as well as little results. Smashwords say they do not know how. Thanks

Probably not exactly what you want but using keyword "french" I found 220 ebooks on Smashwords. www.smashwords.com/books/tags/frenchSome of those listed have English as the language, so keywords aren't perfect. Plus, some authors may or may not have included 'french' as a keyword even though the language selected was French. To find other languages use the same search term but replace french with another language; eg www.smashwords.com/books/tags/spanish which returned 265 results including those with English as the Language. Oh well. Computers, eh.

yup, like Ted says...
If the author himself didn't use the tag 'French' or 'français' in the tags of his book, the book won't show up in the search query. The search engine doesn't look at the language category. There's no way to fiddle with the settings either.
It would have been nice if you were able to search on language, but unfortunately that's not the case. I took this up with Smashwords once. They said they'd consider adding an extra filter in the future. That was a couple of years ago... :-D

Ι tried above and have ended with some 2 dozens, amongst as you say something like 300 total results including english language. The thing is I stay with the impression that books published in smashwords globally are millions and as a result those in my own mother tongue must be more than 20. It's a european language after all. Bah, it's only an idea I had this could be useful. Nevertheless, I'm sure smashwords will (sooner or later) add this filter. Until further communication, Ι remain...
